Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Commonly 500mg twice daily or 1g once daily for the duration prescribed. Swallow capsules whole with water, with or without food (with food if your stomach is sensitive). Space doses evenly, drink plenty of fluids, and complete the full course even if you feel better early.

Do not use with a known cephalosporin allergy; tell your doctor about penicillin allergy. Cross-reaction is possible. Stop and seek urgent care for rash, facial swelling or difficulty breathing. Mild diarrhoea, nausea or thrush can occur; severe or persistent watery diarrhoea needs prompt review. Caution in kidney impairment and during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use on medical advice.
