Zinnat 250mg Tablets from GSK contain cefuroxime axetil, a dependable second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for adults and older children. It treats a wide range of bacterial infections, including throat and sinus infections, middle-ear infections, chest infections (bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft-tissue infections, and early Lyme disease. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult dose is one 250mg tablet twice daily (every 12 hours), taken after food to maximise absorption. Your doctor may adjust this depending on the infection. Swallow whole with water; do not crush, as the coating masks a bitter taste. Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better.

Do not use if allergic to cefuroxime or other cephalosporin antibiotics; tell your doctor about any severe penicillin allergy. Side effects can include diarrhoea, nausea, headache and rash. Seek urgent care for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty or persistent watery/bloody diarrhoea. Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, or take medicines that reduce stomach acid, which can lower absorption. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
