Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual adult course is one 500mg tablet once daily for 3 days, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better earlier. Stopping early can let the infection return and fuels antibiotic resistance.

Do not use if allergic to azithromycin, erythromycin or other macrolides. Tell your doctor about liver or kidney problems, heart rhythm disorders (long QT) or other medicines you take. Separate antacids by at least 2 hours. Common side effects include diarrhoea, nausea and abdominal pain; seek urgent care for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty or watery/bloody diarrhoea. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Use antibiotics only when prescribed. Store below 30°C.
