Overview
Mirtaz 15mg Tablets (30 pack) contain mirtazapine, an antidepressant from Sun Pharma prescribed for major depression, particularly when poor sleep and loss of appetite are prominent. Mirtazapine works differently from SSRIs. Enhancing both noradrenaline and serotonin signalling, and its calming, sleep-friendly profile makes it valuable for patients whose depression keeps them awake at night. Improvement in sleep and appetite often comes early, with mood lifting over the following weeks of consistent use under a doctor's care.
Mirtazapine 15mg per film-coated tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily at bedtime, with or without food, because it commonly causes drowsiness. Take it every day; the full antidepressant effect builds over 2-4 weeks. Do not stop suddenly. Your doctor will taper the dose gradually when the time is right.
Causes sedation, especially in the first weeks. Avoid driving and alcohol until you know your response. Increased appetite and weight gain are common. Report any fever, sore throat or mouth ulcers promptly (rare blood cell effects), and any worsening mood or thoughts of self-harm, especially when starting. Caution with epilepsy, liver or kidney impairment, and other sedating or serotonergic medicines. Never combine with MAOIs. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
