Etorix 120mg contains etoricoxib, a selective COX-2 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves pain and inflammation. The 120mg strength is typically used for the short-term treatment of acute gout attacks, easing the intense joint pain, swelling and redness they cause. Etoricoxib is also used for pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. By targeting the COX-2 enzyme, it reduces inflammation while being gentler on the stomach than some older NSAIDs. It is a prescription medicine for managing painful inflammatory and arthritic conditions.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The 120mg dose is usually taken as one tablet once a day for the shortest time needed (for acute gout, generally no more than 8 days). Swallow whole with water, with or without food, though taking it with food may help it work a little faster. Do not exceed the dose your doctor prescribes.

Not suitable if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart failure, established heart disease or stroke, or active stomach ulcers or bleeding. Use with caution if you have high blood pressure or kidney or liver problems. Avoid in pregnancy (especially later stages) and while breastfeeding. NSAIDs can raise the risk of heart and stomach problems, so use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. Tell your doctor about other medicines, especially blood-pressure tablets and blood thinners. Store below 30°C.
