Overview

Nucoxia 90mg Tablets (30 pack) from Zydus contain etoricoxib, a COX-2 selective anti-inflammatory (NSAID) that relieves pain and inflammation while being gentler on the stomach than older NSAIDs. Etoricoxib reduces the pain, swelling and stiffness of conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout attacks and other musculoskeletal pain. The 90mg strength is commonly used for arthritis and acute pain. Its once-daily dosing and targeted action make it a convenient option. A doctor-prescribed anti-inflammatory helping people manage arthritis flares, gout and inflammatory pain.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily, with or without food (it may work a little faster on an empty stomach), swallowed with water. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed. For a gout attack it is used short-term; for arthritis it may be used longer under review. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Because it is an NSAID, tell your doctor about heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, kidney or liver problems, or stomach ulcers. COX-2 medicines can raise blood pressure and carry heart and kidney risks, and are avoided in uncontrolled hypertension and significant heart disease. Take the lowest dose for the shortest time. Stop and seek care for black stools, severe stomach pain, chest pain, breathlessness or signs of allergy. Not for use in pregnancy (especially later) or breastfeeding. Store below 30°C.
