Dichlor 25mg Tablets contain chlorthalidone (chlortalidone) 25mg, a long-acting thiazide-type diuretic ('water tablet') for high blood pressure and fluid retention (oedema). Chlorthalidone helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water, lowering blood pressure smoothly over a long duration and reducing swelling. A well-established, once-daily cornerstone of hypertension treatment.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily in the morning (to avoid night-time urination), with or without food. Continue regularly even when feeling well and attend scheduled blood tests. Electrolytes, kidney function, blood sugar and uric acid may be monitored. Do not adjust the dose yourself.

May cause dizziness, increased urination (initially), and can lower potassium and sodium. Report muscle cramps, weakness, palpitations or confusion. Not for use with sulfonamide allergy or significant kidney impairment without advice. Use caution in gout (can raise uric acid) and diabetes (can affect blood sugar). Maintain hydration in hot weather. Tell your doctor about all medicines, especially other blood pressure medicines, lithium and NSAIDs. Use in pregnancy only if advised.
