Efferalgan 1g Effervescent Tablets contain paracetamol, a trusted pain reliever and fever reducer, in a fast-dissolving effervescent form. Dropped into water, the tablet fizzes into a pleasant drink that is quickly absorbed, making it useful when a faster effect or an easier-to-swallow option is wanted. Paracetamol relieves mild to moderate pain. Headache, toothache, period pain, muscular aches and the discomfort of colds and flu, and brings down fever. The 1g strength is a standard adult dose. A convenient, fast-acting everyday painkiller for households.

Active: Paracetamol 1000mg (1g) per effervescent tablet. Contains sodium (from effervescent base).

Directions for Use

Take as directed on the label. For adults, usually one 1g tablet dissolved fully in a glass of water up to three times a day if needed, leaving at least 4 hours between doses and not exceeding the stated maximum in 24 hours. Wait for the fizzing to stop before drinking. Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing medicine. Use the lowest dose needed; see a doctor if pain or fever lasts more than a few days.

Never take more than the stated dose or combine with other paracetamol-containing products. Overdose can cause serious, sometimes delayed, liver damage, so seek medical help immediately even if you feel well after taking too much. The effervescent form contains sodium. Take care if you are on a low-salt diet or have heart or kidney problems. Tell your doctor about liver problems or heavy alcohol use.
