Overview
Foralin 100mcg Inhaler (120 doses) combines budesonide 100mcg with formoterol 6mcg. An inhaled corticosteroid and a fast, long-acting bronchodilator. In one affordable Cipla inhaler (formerly Foracort). The steroid treats the inflammation at the root of asthma and COPD while formoterol opens the airways within minutes and keeps them open for 12 hours. This lower strength suits patients stepping up from a steroid-only preventer. Taken morning and evening, it is maintenance therapy that brings day-to-day breathing under steady control.
Budesonide 100mcg with formoterol fumarate 6mcg per metered inhalation. Confirm on product packaging.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Commonly one to two inhalations twice daily, every day. Shake the inhaler, breathe out, inhale deeply while pressing once, and hold your breath about 10 seconds. Rinse your mouth and spit after each session to prevent thrush. Do not exceed the prescribed number of puffs; keep a separate reliever unless your doctor directs otherwise.
Maintenance treatment. Follow your doctor's plan for acute symptoms. Rinse the mouth after use to prevent oral thrush and hoarseness. Tremor or palpitations can occur with the formoterol component. Report if persistent. Caution with heart disease, thyroid disorders and diabetes. Do not stop suddenly. Seek urgent care for breathlessness that does not respond. Use in pregnancy on medical advice.
