Overview

Seretide Evohaler 25/125mcg (120 doses) from GSK is a combination preventer inhaler delivering two medicines in each puff: salmeterol 25mcg, a long-acting bronchodilator that keeps the airways open, and fluticasone 125mcg, an inhaled steroid that reduces airway inflammation. Used regularly, it controls asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), reducing day-to-day breathlessness, wheeze and the risk of flare-ups. By treating both tightness and inflammation, Seretide gives steady, long-term breathing control. A widely trusted, doctor-prescribed maintenance inhaler for people with asthma or COPD.

Actives per actuation: Salmeterol 25mcg (as xinafoate) and Fluticasone propionate 125mcg. Propellant: HFA-134a.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Usually one or two puffs twice daily (morning and evening) at the same times each day. Shake the inhaler, breathe out, then press and inhale slowly and deeply; hold your breath for about 10 seconds. Using a spacer improves delivery. Rinse your mouth and spit out after each use to prevent oral thrush. It is a preventer. Keep using it daily even when well, and do not use it to relieve a sudden attack.

This is a maintenance inhaler and does not relieve a sudden attack. Always keep a fast-acting reliever (e.g. salbutamol) for that. Rinse your mouth after each dose to reduce the risk of oral thrush and hoarseness. Tell your doctor about heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems or tuberculosis. Do not stop suddenly. Seek advice if your reliever is needed more often or symptoms worsen. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice.
