Tiova 9mcg Inhaler (200 metered doses) contains tiotropium, Cipla's long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilator, in a convenient pressurised inhaler delivering 9mcg per puff. Used once daily for the long-term management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tiotropium keeps the airways relaxed and open for a full 24 hours, easing daily breathlessness and reducing flare-ups in chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The familiar metered-dose inhaler format makes once-daily maintenance simple. An affordable option helping people with COPD breathe more comfortably every day.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. Usually two puffs once daily (delivering the prescribed tiotropium dose) at the same time each day. Shake the inhaler, breathe out fully, then press the canister while breathing in slowly and deeply, hold your breath for about 10 seconds, and rinse your mouth afterwards. Using a spacer can improve delivery. It is a preventer inhaler. Keep using it every day even when you feel well, and do not use it to relieve a sudden attack.

This is a maintenance inhaler, not a reliever. Always keep a fast-acting reliever (e.g. salbutamol) for sudden breathlessness. Avoid spraying near the eyes; tiotropium can trigger or worsen narrow-angle glaucoma (eye pain, halos, blurred vision. Seek care). Dry mouth is common. Caution with prostate enlargement, bladder outflow obstruction or kidney impairment. Tell your doctor about other anticholinergic medicines. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice.
