Overview

Zineryt Lotion 30ml is a prescription acne treatment combining erythromycin 4% with zinc acetate 1.2% in an easy-apply solution. The antibiotic clears the acne-causing bacteria on the skin while zinc calms inflammation and helps reduce the redness of spots; the combination also lowers the risk of antibiotic resistance compared with erythromycin alone. Suitable for inflamed acne of the face, chest and back. Including sensitive skin. Zineryt is a well-tolerated option for teens and adults tackling persistent breakouts.

Erythromycin 40mg/ml (4%) with zinc acetate dihydrate 12mg/ml (1.2%) cutaneous solution.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor. After mixing by the pharmacist, apply a thin film to the entire affected area (not just individual spots) twice daily, morning and evening, on clean dry skin using the applicator. Wash hands after use. Improvement is typically seen after several weeks; complete the full course, usually 10-12 weeks. Note the mixed solution's expiry. It has a limited shelf life (commonly 5-8 weeks).

For external use only. Avoid eyes, lips, nostrils and broken skin. Mild dryness, stinging or peeling can occur initially. Do not combine with other topical acne treatments on the same area unless advised. Tell your doctor if acne does not improve after the course. Alternative treatment may be needed; prolonged or repeated antibiotic use can breed resistance. Considered usable in pregnancy on medical advice. Note the post-mixing expiry date on the bottle. Zineryt lotion really helped me with my acne vulgaris back in 2018. Prescribed by my dermatologist Dr. Evanson Kamuri back in Mater Misericordiae and within a few weeks the acne was gone.
