Candid B Cream is a dual-action skin cream that combines an antifungal, clotrimazole, with a mild corticosteroid, beclometasone, to treat fungal skin infections that are also red, itchy and inflamed. Clotrimazole clears the fungus responsible for conditions such as ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch and other fungal rashes, while beclometasone quickly soothes the inflammation, redness and itching. This makes Candid B especially useful in the early stages of treatment, when symptoms are most uncomfortable, helping the skin feel better faster while the infection is being cleared.
Active ingredients: Clotrimazole 1% w/w and Beclometasone dipropionate 0.025% w/w.
Directions for Use
For external use only. Wash and dry the affected area gently, then apply a thin layer of cream and rub in lightly, usually twice a day (morning and evening) or as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands after applying, unless treating the hands. Continue for the full period advised. The steroid is generally only for short-term use, but the antifungal often needs to be continued for some time after symptoms clear to fully remove the infection. Do not use under airtight dressings unless advised.
Because it contains a steroid, do not use for longer than directed or on large areas, and avoid the face, eyes and skin folds unless your doctor advises, as prolonged steroid use can thin the skin. Not for use on the eyes or inside the mouth or nose, and avoid on broken or weeping skin unless directed. Do not use on infections such as cold sores, chickenpox or impetigo. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop and seek advice if the condition worsens or does not improve. Store below 25C. Directions for Use
This medicine should be used as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Wash and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin and surrounding margin twice daily (morning and evening), rubbing in gently. Use for the period advised. Typically 1-2 weeks; do not stop as soon as itching settles, and do not use longer than advised. Wash hands after applying.
For external use only. Avoid eyes, mouth and broken skin. Contains a corticosteroid: do not use on the face, on large areas, or for prolonged periods, as skin thinning and stretch marks can occur. Not for viral skin conditions (cold sores, chickenpox) or acne. Use in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice.
