Grabacin Ointment is a topical antibiotic ointment used to treat and prevent minor bacterial skin infections. It combines polymyxin B, bacitracin and gramicidin. Antibiotics that work together to stop bacteria growing. To help heal conditions such as infected cuts, grazes, minor wounds, burns, boils and infected skin. Applied directly to the affected area, it targets infection at the surface to support cleaner, faster healing. Grabacin Ointment is a handy first-aid antibiotic for the home medicine cabinet, suitable for minor skin infections in adults and children as advised.
Active ingredients: Polymyxin B sulphate, Bacitracin zinc and Gramicidin.
Directions for Use
For external use only. First clean and dry the affected skin area. Apply a small amount of ointment in a thin layer to the area 1 to 3 times a day, or as directed. You may cover a small treated area with a sterile dressing if needed. Wash your hands after applying, unless treating the hands. Do not use more often or for longer than directed, and avoid using for more than one week unless advised by a doctor.
For use on the skin only. Avoid the eyes, nose and mouth. Do not use if you are allergic to polymyxin, bacitracin or gramicidin. Do not apply to large areas, deep or puncture wounds, serious burns or broken skin over a wide area without medical advice, and avoid prolonged use, which can encourage resistant bacteria or allergic skin reactions. Stop use and seek advice if redness, swelling or irritation worsens, or if the infection does not improve within a week. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Store below 25C.
