Overview
Imiquad Cream (imiquimod) is a prescription topical immune-response medicine, supplied in single-use sachets. It is used to treat external genital and perianal warts, and certain sun-related skin lesions (actinic keratoses) and some superficial skin cancers when prescribed by a doctor. Rather than acting directly on the skin, it stimulates the body's local immune system to clear the affected cells. This makes it a targeted treatment option for adults , used under medical supervision.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Use exactly as directed by your doctor, as the schedule differs by condition (for example, applied a set number of nights per week). Wash hands, apply a thin layer to the affected area at bedtime, rub in until absorbed, and leave on for the prescribed hours before washing off with mild soap and water. Use one sachet per application and discard it. Wash hands after applying.
This is a prescription medicine for external use only. Avoid the eyes, lips and inside the nose, mouth or vagina. Local skin reactions (redness, flaking, swelling, scabbing or mild erosion) are expected and show it is working, but tell your doctor if severe. It can weaken latex condoms and diaphragms. Avoid sexual contact while the cream is on the skin. Avoid sunlamps and limit sun on treated areas. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
