Overview
Hirudoid Gel is a topical treatment containing heparinoid (mucopolysaccharide polysulfate) used to relieve and help resolve bruises, swelling and superficial vein problems. It is used for conditions such as bruising and haematomas, superficial phlebitis (inflammation of veins just under the skin) and localised swelling, helping to reduce discomfort and support healing. Applied directly to the affected area, this 40g gel is a handy household remedy for knocks, bruises and sore, tender veins. A soothing topical gel for bruises and superficial vein inflammation.
For external use only - do not apply to open wounds, broken or infected skin, the eyes or mucous membranes. Avoid use if allergic to heparinoids or the ingredients. Discontinue if a rash or significant irritation develops. If a leg vein is very painful, hot, hard or swollen (possible deep-vein thrombosis), seek medical advice rather than self-treating. Store below 25°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Directions for Use
Apply a small amount of gel to the affected area and smooth gently over the skin (do not rub hard over inflamed veins), two to three times daily or as directed. For bruises and swelling, apply from the edges inward. Wash hands after use. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds. For external use only; avoid the eyes and mucous membranes.
