Overview
Fusiderm Cream (fusidic acid) is a prescription topical antibiotic cream used to treat bacterial skin infections, such as impetigo, infected cuts, grazes, and infected dermatitis. Fusidic acid works by killing the bacteria (particularly staphylococci) that cause skin infections. Applied directly to the affected skin, this 10g cream helps clear localised bacterial skin infections for adults and children under a doctor's guidance.
Directions for Use
Use as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected skin, then apply a thin layer to the affected area(s), usually three to four times daily (or as advised), for the full course prescribed. Typically up to about a week. Wash your hands after applying, unless treating the hands. Avoid the eyes.
This is a prescription medicine for external use only. Do not use if allergic to fusidic acid. Avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with water. Use only for the area and duration prescribed, as overuse can promote antibiotic resistance. Tell your doctor if the infection does not improve or worsens. Discontinue if marked irritation occurs. Store in a cool, dry place. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication. Keep out of reach of children.
