Overview

Hydrogen Peroxide Solution 200ml is a classic first-aid antiseptic for cleaning fresh cuts, grazes and minor wounds. On contact with broken skin it releases oxygen with a visible fizz, helping to flush dirt and debris from the wound while reducing surface germs. It is also traditionally used, well diluted, as a gargle for mouth and throat hygiene on a clinician's advice. An inexpensive, multi-purpose antiseptic that has earned its place in first-aid kits at home, school and work.

Hydrogen peroxide solution. Confirm strength (commonly 3% w/v / 10 volumes) on product label.

Directions for Use

For wound cleaning: pour a small amount of the solution onto the wound or apply with clean cotton wool; allow it to bubble, then rinse with clean water and pat dry before dressing. Use once or twice at first cleaning. Repeated use on healing wounds can slow tissue repair. If used as a gargle, dilute as directed on the pack, never swallow, and use only on a pharmacist's advice.

For external use only. Never swallow, never inject and never use in closed body cavities. Do not use on deep puncture wounds, serious burns or animal bites. These need medical care. Avoid eyes; rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs. Stop use if irritation or whitening of skin persists. Keep away from clothing and coloured fabrics (bleaching). Store below 25°C in the original dark container away from heat and light. The solution loses strength when exposed. The supplement range, though pricey, is vast. I liked the hydrogen peroxide in the brown bottle, but would prefer the food grade one in a white bottle. Please include that in your stock. Asante.
