Overview

Lipitas 20mg contains atorvastatin, a statin medicine that lowers high blood cholesterol. By reducing 'bad' LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, it helps lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular problems. The 20mg strength is used when greater cholesterol reduction is needed, alongside a healthy diet, for people at higher cardiovascular risk. Supplied as a 30-tablet pack for daily use.

Active ingredient: Atorvastatin (as calcium) 20mg per tablet.

Directions for Use

This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily with water, with or without food. It can be taken at any time of day, but try to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it long term alongside a healthy lifestyle, even though you will not feel its effect directly.

Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, drink a lot of alcohol, or are pregnant or breastfeeding (statins are not used in pregnancy).
