Overview

Elica Ointment 30g contains mometasone furoate, a potent topical corticosteroid in a rich ointment base, for inflammatory and itchy skin conditions. Eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. Especially where skin is dry, thickened or scaly. The ointment delivers strong anti-inflammatory relief while its greasy base also helps lock in moisture, calming red, itchy, inflamed skin.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Apply a thin film to the affected areas once daily, exactly as prescribed, rubbing in gently. Use for the limited course your doctor advises rather than continuously. Wash hands after applying (unless treating the hands). Avoid covering with airtight dressings unless directed.

Use only as directed and for the short course advised. Potent steroids thin the skin, cause stretch marks and can be absorbed with overuse, especially on the face, in skin folds or under dressings (use there only if specifically told to). Not for use on infected, broken or acne/rosacea skin without advice, or in young children, pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical guidance. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged large-area use.
