Pioday 15mg Tablets (28 pack) contain pioglitazone 15mg, an insulin sensitiser for type 2 diabetes. Pioglitazone tackles the insulin resistance at the heart of the disease. Re-sensitising muscle, fat and liver to insulin's signal. For durable blood sugar control, used alone or with other diabetes medicines. The 15mg strength is a common starting dose.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, at a consistent time. Benefits build over several weeks. Continue diet and exercise measures and attend scheduled monitoring, including any liver tests your doctor advises.

Not for use in heart failure. Report rapid weight gain, swelling or breathlessness promptly (fluid retention). Avoided with bladder cancer history or unexplained blood in the urine. Report the latter. May increase fracture risk in women with long-term use. Not for type 1 diabetes or ketoacidosis. May restore ovulation. Discuss contraception.
