Overview
Sign Kit is a convenient 7-day combination pack used to treat Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection - a common bacterial cause of stomach and duodenal ulcers, gastritis and persistent acidity. Each course brings together three medicines that work as 'triple therapy': esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that lowers stomach acid, plus two antibiotics, amoxicillin and clarithromycin, that clear the bacteria. By combining acid control with targeted antibiotics in one easy-to-follow kit, Sign Kit helps ulcers heal faster and lowers the chance of the infection returning. This is a prescription-only medicine for patients diagnosed with an H. pylori-related condition by their doctor.
Esomeprazole (proton pump inhibitor), Amoxicillin (antibiotic) and Clarithromycin (antibiotic). Individual tablet strengths are as stated on the pack.
This medicine requires a prescription. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
1. Take the tablets from one daily strip each day for the full 7-day course.
2. Swallow with water, usually twice daily and preferably before meals, exactly as prescribed.
3. Do not skip doses, and complete the entire course even if you feel better, so the infection is fully cleared.
4. Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it can react with clarithromycin.
Space doses evenly through the day and follow the schedule printed on the pack.
Sign Kit contains two antibiotics and should not be used if you are allergic to penicillins (amoxicillin) or macrolides (clarithromycin). Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have liver, kidney or heart-rhythm problems. Clarithromycin can interact with several medicines - including certain statins, blood thinners and heart medications - so share your full medicine list with your pharmacist. Common effects include nausea, diarrhoea, altered taste and mild stomach upset. Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
