Overview

PAPAZYMEÂ is a combination of Papain, Fungal Diastase and Simethicone. Papain is an enzyme obtained from the juice of the unripe fruit of Carica papaya Linn. that digests protein and catalyses the breakdown of proteins by hydrolysis. It is sparingly soluble in water. Fungal Diastase is a potent, dependable and powerful enzyme complex obtained from Aspergillus oryzae. Fungal Diastase is a starch degrading enzyme. It helps in digestion of starch and carbohydrates from the diet into simple polysaccharides and sugar. Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles, causing them to combine into larger bubbles in the stomach that can be passed more easily. Simethicone does not reduce or prevent the formation of gas in the digestive tract rather it increases the rate at which it exits the body.

Papain 60 mg Fungal Diastase 20 mg Simethicone 25 mg

Directions for Use

1 tablet as and when required up to a maximum of 3 times a day before or after meal. Do not exceed 3 tablets per day. Allow the tablet to dissolve completely in a glass of water (200 ml). Drink as soon as tablet dissolves. Do not chew these tablets.

PAPAZYME is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the formulation.
