Overview
The SureKit Antibody Rapid HIV Self-Test is a simple, private test that lets you check your own HIV status at home, with a result in minutes. Using a small finger-prick blood sample, it detects HIV antibodies. A convenient, confidential way to know your status, an important and routine part of looking after your health. Knowing your status, whatever the result, opens the door to care and prevention.
Directions for Use
Read the instructions fully first. Wash and dry your hands, use the provided lancet for a small finger-prick sample, apply it to the test device as directed, and read the result only within the time window stated. Follow each step carefully for an accurate result. Test, lancet and waste should be used once and disposed of as directed.
A self-test is a screening test, not a final diagnosis: a reactive ('positive') result must always be confirmed by a clinic or healthcare provider, who will also link you to care. Effective treatment means people living with HIV can stay well and cannot pass HIV on when the virus is suppressed. A negative result may not detect a very recent infection (the 'window period'). If you have had a possible recent exposure, re-test later as advised, and consider prevention options. Follow the instructions exactly, check the expiry date, and seek support and confidential advice from a healthcare provider for testing, results and prevention. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
