Bepanthen Ointment (100g) contains dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) and is a gentle, protective ointment best known for preventing and soothing nappy rash on babies' delicate skin. Directions for Use

For external use on the skin. For nappy rash, apply a thin layer to the clean, dry nappy area at each change, especially before bedtime. For minor skin irritation, dryness or chapping, apply a thin layer to the affected area as needed. It can be used regularly as it is gentle. Wash your hands after applying (unless treating the hands).

For external use only. Avoid the eyes. Generally very well tolerated, but stop use if redness, a rash or irritation develops or worsens. For nappy rash that is severe, blistered, weepy or not improving in a few days, see your doctor or clinic, as it may be infected (for example with thrush) and need different treatment. I got Bepanthen because I just couldn't find Dexipan anywhere. It's a very effective substitute. I have cracked nipples from breastfeeding and Bepanthen made the healing process faster. Plus it also works for nappy rash. In case you decide to use it for your nipples, remember to wipe it off before breastfeeding.
