Overview
Lamictal 100mg Tablets contain lamotrigine, an anticonvulsant medicine from GSK used to treat epilepsy (partial and generalised seizures) in adults and children, and to help prevent mood episodes in adults with bipolar disorder. Lamotrigine works by stabilising electrical activity in the brain, reducing the frequency of seizures and helping maintain stable mood. Lamictal is a well-established, internationally trusted brand prescribed by specialists for long-term seizure and mood management (30 tablets per pack).
Lamotrigine 100mg per tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Dosage is determined by your prescribing doctor based on your individual needs and is increased slowly over several weeks when starting. Do not adjust your dose without medical supervision. Swallow tablets whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day. Never stop lamotrigine suddenly, as seizures may return or worsen; your doctor will taper the dose gradually if needed.
Seek medical help immediately if you develop a skin rash, fever, swollen glands or blistering. Lamotrigine can rarely cause serious skin reactions (e.g. Stevens-Johnson syndrome), especially in the first 8 weeks or if the dose is increased too quickly. May cause dizziness, drowsiness or blurred vision. Avoid driving until you know how it affects you. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding, or take other epilepsy medicines or hormonal contraceptives, which can alter lamotrigine levels. Store below 30°C. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
