Orelox 200mg Tablets (10 pack) contain cefpodoxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic from Sanofi prescribed for respiratory and other bacterial infections. It treats sinusitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis flare-ups, community pneumonia, and some urinary tract and skin infections, working by destroying the bacterial cell wall. Its broad, reliable coverage of common respiratory bacteria makes it a useful step-up option when first-line antibiotics are unsuitable. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 200mg tablet twice daily with food (food improves absorption), for the full course prescribed (commonly 5-10 days). Space doses about 12 hours apart and complete the course even when you feel better. Take antacids at least 2 hours apart from Orelox.

Do not use with cephalosporin allergy; use cautiously after severe penicillin reactions. Tell your doctor your allergy history. Diarrhoea is common; persistent watery or bloody diarrhoea needs urgent review. Dose adjustment is needed in significant kidney impairment. Antacids and acid-reducing medicines reduce absorption.
