Overview

Mebo Herbal Ointment 30g is the well-known moist-wound-healing ointment for burns, scalds and wounds, formulated on a base of sesame oil and beeswax with the plant sterol β-sitosterol. Rather than drying a wound out, Mebo keeps it in a moist, nourished environment that eases pain, supports the body's own repair and helps reduce scarring. It is used for minor kitchen burns, sunburn, scalds, abrasions and as part of supervised care for larger burns. A first-aid kit essential in many homes.

Directions for Use

Cool the burn under cool running water for 10-20 minutes first. Apply a thin layer (about 1mm) of Mebo directly to the affected area three to four times daily, gently wiping away residue and any loosened debris before each fresh application. Cover with a light non-stick dressing if needed. For larger or deeper burns, use only as part of treatment directed by a healthcare professional.

For external use only. Deep, large, electrical or chemical burns, burns on the face, hands, genitals or joints, and any burn in a baby need urgent professional care. Do not self-treat. Stop use if rash or increased redness develops (contains sesame oil and beeswax. Check allergies). Watch for signs of infection: spreading redness, pus, fever. Store below 30°C away from direct heat.
