Cetrizet D Tablet contains Cetirizine 5mg and Pseudoephedrine 120mg as active ingredients.Cetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. It is used for Colds, Allergies, Running nose, Skin allergies, Sneezing, Sinus congestion and pressure, Itching and hay fever.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cetrizet D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Precautions; please consult your doctor before initiating use in pregnant women. Cetrizet D is safe for use during breastfeeding. common side effects include; Dryness of the mouth, Headache,Nausea, Tiredness, Sleepiness. Warning; Cetrizet D Tablets may cause excessive drowsiness when used together with alcohol. Caution; Cetrizet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetrizet D may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Cetrizet D is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
