Overview

Acnesol Cream (25g) contains clindamycin, an antibiotic applied to the skin to treat acne. Clindamycin works by reducing the acne-causing bacteria on the skin and calming the inflammation behind red, sore pimples and spots. Used regularly on acne-prone areas, it helps clear existing breakouts and reduce new ones, improving the look of the skin over several weeks. It is suitable for mild to moderate inflammatory acne, often as part of a wider skincare or treatment plan. A doctor- or pharmacist-guided topical option helping people manage acne. Directions for Use

Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Usually a thin layer applied to the clean, dry affected area once or twice daily. Wash and dry the skin first, apply a small amount across the acne-prone area (not just on individual spots), and wash your hands afterwards. Improvement is gradual over several weeks; keep using it as directed even once the skin starts to clear. Use sun protection, as treated skin can be more sun-sensitive.

For external use only. Avoid the eyes, lips, inside the nose and broken skin. Mild dryness, redness or peeling can occur at first. To reduce the chance of bacterial resistance, use it for the course your doctor advises and as part of the recommended regimen. Tell your doctor about a history of bowel inflammation. Stop and seek advice for significant diarrhoea during use. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store below 25°C.
