Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is one tablet once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. The full effect develops over 2-4 weeks. Keep taking it even when you feel well, and attend regular blood pressure reviews.

Do not use during pregnancy. Losartan can harm an unborn baby; tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. May cause dizziness. Rise slowly, especially at first. Ankle swelling, flushing and headache can occur with amlodipine and often settle. Avoid potassium supplements and potassium-based salt substitutes unless advised; kidney function and potassium may be monitored. NSAID painkillers can blunt the effect.
