Overview

Aricept 10mg Tablets (28 pack) contain donepezil, a medicine used to treat the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease (a common form of dementia). Donepezil works by boosting a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) in the brain involved in memory and thinking, which can help improve or stabilise memory, awareness and the ability to carry out daily activities in people with mild-to-moderate (and sometimes severe) Alzheimer's. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one tablet once daily in the evening, just before bed, swallowed with water, with or without food. Treatment is often started at a lower dose and increased to 10mg. Keep taking it regularly, and do not stop without advice. A carer often helps make sure doses are taken correctly.

May cause nausea, diarrhoea, poor appetite, dizziness, vivid dreams or a slow heartbeat, especially at first. Tell your doctor about heart-rhythm problems or fainting, asthma/lung disease, stomach ulcers, difficulty passing urine, or seizures, and about all other medicines. Report fainting, a very slow pulse, or severe stomach pain. Tell any doctor/dentist before surgery or anaesthesia that you take it. Store below 30°C.
