Overview
Arlin 600mg Tablets (20 pack) contain linezolid, a powerful antibiotic from the oxazolidinone class. It is reserved for treating certain serious bacterial infections. Such as some pneumonias and complicated skin and soft-tissue infections. Including those caused by resistant Gram-positive bacteria like MRSA and vancomycin-resistant enterococci, where other antibiotics may not work. Linezolid works by stopping the bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow. A doctor-prescribed, specialist antibiotic helping patients treat serious resistant infections. Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine, used under close medical supervision. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually one 600mg tablet every 12 hours, with or without food, swallowed with water. Complete the full course exactly as prescribed; treatment is generally limited to no longer than 28 days. Do not stop early even if you feel better. Attend any blood-test monitoring your doctor arranges.
Linezolid interacts with many medicines and foods. Tell your doctor about antidepressants (SSRIs/SNRIs, MAOIs), migraine triptans, and other serotonergic or blood-pressure medicines, as combining them risks serotonin syndrome or dangerous blood-pressure rises, and AVOID large amounts of tyramine-rich foods (aged cheese, cured/fermented meats, soy sauce, draught beer). It can lower blood cell counts with longer use (blood tests are needed), and may cause numbness/tingling or vision changes on prolonged use. Report these.
