Overview

Ascard 75mg Tablets contain low-dose aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), used not for pain relief but to help prevent blood clots. At this low strength, aspirin makes the blood less sticky, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes in people at higher risk. It is widely prescribed for those with heart disease, a previous heart attack or stroke, or other cardiovascular risk factors. Ascard 75mg is intended for long-term daily use under medical supervision as part of managing heart and circulatory health.

Active ingredient: Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) 75 mg per tablet.

Directions for Use

This medicine is usually taken once daily, exactly as directed by your doctor. Swallow one tablet with a glass of water, preferably with or just after food to reduce stomach irritation; if it is a dispersible tablet, it may be dissolved in water. Take it at the same time each day and continue for as long as your doctor advises. Do not stop suddenly without checking, as this may increase clot risk. Do not adjust the dose on your own.

Do not give aspirin to children under 16 years (risk of Reye's syndrome) unless specifically prescribed. Avoid if you are allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs, or have an active stomach ulcer or bleeding disorder. Tell your doctor before any surgery or dental work, and if you take other blood thinners, ibuprofen or steroids. Watch for signs of bleeding such as black stools, easy bruising or blood in vomit, and seek help if they occur. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Take with food and store below 30C.
