Asomex LT 2.5/50mg is a prescription combination medicine for high blood pressure (hypertension), containing S-amlodipine and losartan potassium. S-amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and losartan (an angiotensin receptor blocker) work together to relax and widen the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and lowering blood pressure. This dual-action tablet helps adults whose blood pressure isn't controlled by one medicine alone, and helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney damage.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Asomex LT is usually taken once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed whole with water. Do not stop taking it without medical advice, even if you feel well, as blood pressure control needs to be maintained.

Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or take potassium supplements, diuretics or other blood pressure medicines. May cause dizziness (especially on standing), ankle swelling, flushing or headache. Your doctor may monitor kidney function and potassium. Avoid excess alcohol. Use with caution if dehydrated.
