Benylin with Codeine Syrup 100ml is a night-time cough syrup combining codeine, an opioid cough suppressant that calms the brain's cough centre, with diphenhydramine, a sedating antihistamine that eases irritation and helps you sleep, plus soothing menthol. It is used short-term for dry, persistent, sleep-disturbing coughs in adults and children over 12. Directions for Use

Use only as directed on the packaging or by your pharmacist. Adults and children over 12: take the stated dose (typically 5-10ml) three to four times daily, measured with the cup provided. Use for no more than 3 days unless a doctor advises otherwise. Do not exceed the stated dose, and do not combine with other cough, cold or pain medicines without checking. They may contain similar ingredients.

Contains codeine. Can cause addiction if taken continuously for more than 3 days; using it longer can also worsen headaches.
