Benzyl Benzoate 100ml is a topical lotion for the treatment of scabies (a mite infestation causing intense itching) and, in some uses, lice. Applied to the skin, benzyl benzoate kills the scabies mites and their eggs, helping clear the infestation. It is an established, economical treatment, typically applied to the whole body as directed.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Apply to clean, cool, dry skin (not after a hot bath) over the whole body from the neck down (and as directed for the scalp/face in young children), as instructed, leaving it on for the stated time before washing off. The application is usually repeated as directed. Treat all close contacts and household members at the same time, and wash bedding and clothing in hot water. For external use only. Avoid the eyes, mouth, broken or inflamed skin and the genital area. It can sting or irritate, especially on broken skin. It may need diluting for children, who should be treated under medical guidance. Itching can continue for a week or two after successful treatment (this does not mean it has failed). Do not over-apply, as overuse causes irritation. Treat all close contacts simultaneously and decontaminate bedding/clothing. Use in pregnancy, breastfeeding and young children on medical advice.
