Overview

Bisoprolol 5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain bisoprolol, a cardioselective beta-blocker for high blood pressure, angina (chest pain) and stable chronic heart failure. Bisoprolol slows and steadies the heart and reduces its workload, lowering blood pressure, easing angina and, in heart failure, improving symptoms and outlook when used as part of a treatment plan.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, usually in the morning, with or without food, at a consistent time. In heart failure the dose is started low and increased slowly under supervision. Take it regularly and do NOT stop suddenly. Abruptly stopping a beta-blocker can dangerously worsen angina or heart rhythm; any change is made gradually by your doctor.

Do not stop abruptly. May cause tiredness, cold hands and feet, slow heart rate or dizziness. Report a very slow pulse, fainting, or worsening breathlessness or swelling. Use with caution in asthma/COPD (can trigger wheezing), and tell your doctor about diabetes (it can mask low-sugar warning signs). Not suitable in certain slow heart rhythms or severe heart conditions. Tell your doctor about all medicines, especially other heart and blood pressure drugs. Use in pregnancy on advice.
