Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is one to two puffs twice daily, every day, even when you feel well. It prevents attacks rather than relieving them. Shake, breathe out fully, seal lips around the mouthpiece, inhale deeply as you press, hold your breath 5-10 seconds. Rinse your mouth with water and spit after each use to prevent oral thrush. Use a spacer if advised. Carry a separate reliever inhaler for sudden symptoms.

Not for relief of an acute asthma attack. Use your reliever (e.g., salbutamol) for sudden breathlessness. Rinsing after use prevents the most common side effects: oral thrush and hoarseness. Do not stop suddenly. Asthma can rebound; your doctor will step doses up or down. Tell your doctor if you need your reliever more than usual, as this signals worsening control.
