Bupropion 150mg Tablets (20 pack) contain bupropion, a medicine used as an antidepressant and as an aid to stopping smoking. Bupropion works differently from common antidepressants, acting on dopamine and noradrenaline, and is noted for being weight-neutral and not causing the sexual side effects of some antidepressants. As a smoking-cessation aid, it reduces cravings and withdrawal.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take exactly as prescribed, swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the modified-release tablet. Doses are usually started low and increased, with doses taken in the morning (and not too late in the day) to limit sleep disturbance. For quitting smoking, treatment starts before your quit date. Do not stop abruptly without advice.

Bupropion lowers the seizure threshold. It is NOT for people with epilepsy, eating disorders (bulimia/anorexia), or those withdrawing from alcohol or sedatives, and the dose must not be exceeded. Report any thoughts of self-harm, marked mood changes, agitation or unusual behaviour promptly, especially early in treatment. May cause insomnia, dry mouth, headache and raised blood pressure. Do not combine with MAO inhibitors. Tell your doctor about all medicines, mental-health history, and pregnancy. Limit alcohol.
