Overview
Carca 3.125mg Tablets (30 pack) contain carvedilol, a beta-blocker that also relaxes blood vessels, at the low 3.125mg starting strength. Carvedilol slows and steadies the heart, lowers blood pressure and reduces the heart's workload, making it valuable in chronic heart failure. Where it helps the heart pump more effectively over time and improves outlook. As well as in high blood pressure and angina. The low 3.125mg dose is the usual starting point in heart failure, before the dose is increased slowly. A well-established, doctor-prescribed heart medicine for people, especially those beginning treatment for heart failure.
Active: Carvedilol 3.125mg per tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Usually twice daily with food, which slows absorption and reduces dizziness, swallowed with water at the same times each day. In heart failure the dose is started at this low strength and increased gradually over weeks. Do not stop suddenly, as this can worsen heart symptoms; any change must be gradual and medically supervised.
Do not stop abruptly. May cause dizziness, tiredness or slow heartbeat, especially at first or when standing up. Rise slowly. Tell your doctor about asthma or other breathing problems (beta-blockers can trigger wheeze), diabetes (it can mask low-sugar warning signs) and circulation problems. Take care driving until you know how it affects you. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new medication or supplement. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
