Overview
Cardace 10mg Tablets contain ramipril, an ACE inhibitor from Sanofi used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure, to protect the kidneys. Especially in people living with diabetes, and to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in high-risk patients. Ramipril works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so the heart pumps more easily. The 10mg strength is typically a maintenance dose for patients already stabilised on ramipril. Cardace is a widely trusted choice for long-term blood pressure management (28 tablets per pack).
Ramipril 10mg per tablet.
Directions for Use
This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Cardace is usually taken once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water. Your doctor may start you on a lower dose and increase gradually to 10mg. Keep taking it even when you feel well. Stopping suddenly can let your blood pressure rise again.
Do not use during pregnancy. ACE inhibitors can harm an unborn baby; tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. Do not use if you have previously had angioedema (severe facial/throat swelling). May cause a persistent dry cough, dizziness or light-headedness, especially after the first dose. Rise slowly from sitting or lying. Avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes containing potassium unless your doctor advises. Your doctor may monitor kidney function and blood potassium. Store below 30°C. This product information is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice.
