Overview

Cripton 2.5mg Tablets (30 pack) contain bromocriptine, a medicine that acts like dopamine in the body and lowers the hormone prolactin. It is used to treat conditions linked to high prolactin levels. Such as certain menstrual and fertility problems, unwanted breast-milk production and prolactin-secreting pituitary tumours, and is also used in Parkinson's disease and, sometimes, to suppress unwanted breast-milk after childbirth. By restoring normal hormone signals, it helps relieve these conditions. A doctor-prescribed, closely supervised option for people with prolactin-related or movement disorders.

Active: Bromocriptine 2.5mg (as bromocriptine mesilate) per tablet.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose is started low (often at bedtime with food) and increased gradually to reduce side effects such as nausea and dizziness. Swallow with water, with or after food. Keep to the schedule your doctor sets and do not change the dose yourself. Attend follow-up reviews and any hormone or scan checks.

May cause dizziness or fainting, especially when starting or standing up. Rise slowly and take care driving. Taking it with food reduces nausea.
