Dazolic 500mg Tablets (10 pack) contain ornidazole 500mg, an antibiotic and anti-protozoal medicine. Ornidazole treats infections caused by certain protozoa and anaerobic bacteria. Including amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis and some dental, abdominal and gynaecological infections. It works by damaging the DNA of these organisms, clearing the infection.

Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take as prescribed, swallowed whole with water, with or after food to reduce stomach upset, completing the full course even as symptoms settle. Doses and duration depend on the infection. Avoid alcohol during treatment and confirm your regimen with your pharmacist.

Although ornidazole has a lower interaction with alcohol than related medicines, it is sensible to avoid alcohol during treatment. May cause nausea, a metallic taste, dizziness or headache.
