Diamox 250mg Tablets (100 pack) contain acetazolamide, a medicine that works in several ways across the body. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. The dose and timing depend on the condition (for example, started a day or two before ascending to altitude for mountain sickness, or several times daily for glaucoma). Swallow with water, with or after food. Drink plenty of fluids while taking it, and complete the course or daily routine as advised.

Tingling in the hands, feet or face, a metallic taste (especially with fizzy drinks) and increased urination are common and usually harmless. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems, and about a sulfonamide allergy, as acetazolamide is related to sulfa medicines. It can affect potassium and cause drowsiness. Drink enough fluids. Stop and seek care for rash, unusual bleeding or persistent vomiting. Use in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on advice. Store below 30°C.
