    Doxycycline 100mg Capsules (100 pack) contain the versatile tetracycline antibiotic prescribed for chest and sinus infections, acne, typhus and other rickettsial fevers, brucellosis, chlamydia and other sexually transmitted infections, and cholera. Doxycycline is also widely used for malaria prevention in travellers to high-risk areas. By blocking bacterial protein production, it halts a broad range of infections with convenient once- or twice-daily dosing. This economical 100-capsule pack is a practical staple for clinics and long-course treatments such as acne.

    Directions for Use
    This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor. Commonly 100mg once or twice daily depending on the infection, or 100mg daily for malaria prevention (started 1-2 days before travel and continued 4 weeks after leaving the malaria area). Swallow with a full glass of water while sitting or standing upright, with food, and do not lie down for 30 minutes afterwards. Doxycycline can irritate the gullet. Complete the full course.

    Do not use in pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or in children under 8 years. It stains developing teeth and affects bone growth. Causes photosensitivity. Use sunscreen and avoid strong midday sun. Separate from antacids, iron, zinc and calcium (including milk taken in large amounts) by 2-3 hours. Stop and seek care for severe headache with visual changes, difficulty swallowing or severe diarrhoea. Store below 30°C; never use expired tetracyclines.
