Overview

Efferalgan Syrup is a paracetamol-based oral medicine for children, used to relieve mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever. It is commonly used for fever, teething, headache, sore throat, earache and the aches that come with colds, flu and after vaccinations. Paracetamol is one of the most widely used and well-tolerated pain and fever relievers when taken at the correct dose. The measured syrup, with its dosing device, makes it convenient to give children the right amount. Confirm the paracetamol strength per dose against the packaging.

Directions for Use

Use the measuring device provided (syringe or graduated spoon) to give the dose based on the child's weight and age, as stated on the packaging. Doses are usually given every 4-6 hours when needed, with no more than 4 doses in 24 hours. Do not give more than the stated dose. For infants, follow medical advice.

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Too much paracetamol can seriously harm the liver. Do not give with other products that also contain paracetamol. Tell your doctor if the child has liver or kidney problems. Seek medical advice if fever lasts more than 3 days or pain persists.
