Esomac 20mg Tablets from Cipla contain esomeprazole, a proton-pump inhibitor used for maintenance treatment of acid reflux (GERD), relief of heartburn and acid regurgitation, and prevention of ulcer recurrence. The 20mg strength is commonly used once healing is achieved, for ongoing symptom control at the lowest effective dose, and for protecting the stomach during NSAID therapy. By switching off the stomach's acid pumps, esomeprazole provides smooth 24-hour acid control. Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, at least one hour before a meal. Usually before breakfast. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. For maintenance, your doctor may advise daily or on-demand use. Review long-term use with your doctor periodically.

Do not use if allergic to esomeprazole or other PPIs. Seek prompt review for alarm symptoms. Difficulty swallowing, weight loss, vomiting blood or black stools. Long-term use may lower magnesium and vitamin B12 and slightly increase fracture risk. Use the lowest effective dose. Tell your doctor about other medicines, especially clopidogrel. May cause headache, nausea or diarrhoea. Tell your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Store below 30°C.
