Esome 40mg contains esomeprazole which is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing the stomach acid secretion. It is used to treat dyspepsia or indigestion, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophangeal reflux disease(G.E.R.D) and Zollinger Ellison syndrom disease.
The recommended dose is 1 tablet once daily at least one hour before meals. The dosage varies in different conditions. Use Esome 40mg as indicated by your doctor/Consult your doctor before taking this medication.
Esome 40mg is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to substituted benzimidazoles or to any component of its formulation. Nursing Mothers; Because esomeparazole is likely to be excreted in human milk a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account importance of the drug to the mother due to the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants from esomeprazole. Patients taking other drugs should first consult with their doctor before initiating treatment with Esome 40 mg to prevent any possible drug-drug interactions.For patients with severe liver impairment, a dose of 20 mg of Esome should not be exceeded.
