Directions for Use

This is a prescription medicine. Take only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Take one tablet once daily, typically 30-60 minutes before a meal (usually breakfast), swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew. Take consistently for the course prescribed. If symptoms persist beyond the prescribed course, return for review rather than continuing indefinitely.

Long-term acid suppression should be medically reviewed. It can affect absorption of magnesium, vitamin B12 and calcium, and slightly raises infection and fracture risk with prolonged use. Report difficulty or pain swallowing, unintended weight loss, black stools or vomiting blood. These need urgent assessment. Tell your doctor about all medicines, as esomeprazole interacts with several (including clopidogrel and certain antifungals). The itopride component speeds gut movement; report significant changes.
